I recently bought a black pigment ink pad to use for stamping, and
imagine my surprise when I opened it, applied the stamp and found that
the ink was dry. Does anyone know a way to re-wet a dry pad so I can
get some use out of it?

Can't you take it back? You can buy a re-inker but it will cost enough
that it really isn't worth it unless you have one of the really
expensive ink pads [like from CTMH or SU!]

There is a great product on the market by Ranger called Perfect Ink
Refresher. It works across the board - all stamp pad brands, both
dye and pigment, and all markers, too! I think it sells for about
$5.00 or so. I'm not affiliated with the company, just a happy user.

Thanks for the tips. It's not really worth the trouble of trying to return it; it only cost a few bucks, I have no idea where the receipt is, and the store where I got it isn't close by. I thought there'd be a quick and easy way to do it.

I'm an SU demonstrator and could sell you an ink refill for that black pad and have it sent directly to you. The retail price is $3.95, but that is without shipping and tax. Check out my website below.
